A InVideo alternative for story shorts
If InVideo is not working for your channel, this is what Hushline does differently. InVideo is an AI video editor: you describe a video, it builds one, and you change it on a timeline. Hushline does not edit; it writes and films a story short. InVideo suits teams that want an editor and seats. Hushline suits one channel that tells stories.
InVideo prices per seat and on annual billing, so its monthly price is not comparable one to one.

Why channels look for an alternative
- Seedance 2.5 is limited to Plus and up, so the better video model costs more per seat.
- Credits do not roll over, and prices are per seat on annual billing.
- An editor asks you to direct the video. Hushline writes the story for you.
Where Hushline fits
Hushline is built for one job. A genre sets the writing and pace, a host keeps the same face and voice, and the price is per finished short from a pack rather than a per-seat credit allowance that does not roll over. A free draft shows you the story before you spend a credit.
When to stay with InVideo
Stay with InVideo if you need a timeline editor, team seats, or work that goes beyond story shorts.
InVideo wins on editing and teamwork. It uses generative video models (Seedance 2.0 and 2.5), has an editing agent that changes a multitrack timeline from plain-language instructions, and supports multiplayer editing and team seats. It is not built around stories, which is also its strength if your work is wider than story shorts. Its entry price is lower per month: $20 a seat on annual billing for 400 credits.
