Story hook generator: five opening lines for a short
A short lives or dies in its first sentence. Give a premise and a genre and get five opening lines, each a strange or urgent situation rather than a greeting.

Questions
Is it free, and do I need an account?
The story hook generator is free and needs no sign-in: ten runs a day. Making a whole short from the result uses a free draft in Hushline.
Is what it writes original?
It is written fresh for each request by an AI model and told never to retell an existing story or use real people. It is not scraped or copied from anywhere, but check any line you plan to publish the way you would any draft.
Can I post what it writes?
Yes. The lines are yours to use. Say that AI was involved if the platform you post on asks for it; every video made in Hushline is labelled as made with AI.
