Hushline vs Vid.AI: which makes better story shorts?
Vid.AI is a suite: faceless shorts, long-form up to 20 minutes, avatars, fake-text videos, an API and an MCP server. It added AI video in September 2026, with the model set by plan. Hushline makes only story shorts, with real video on every beat and a host. Vid.AI is better for range and long-form; Hushline is better if you want a story-first short with a character.
Vid.AI shows credit figures on its home page that do not match its plan ranges, so a per-video credit cost could not be fixed.
